Concerned Father Walks Into Child’s Room And Finds Note He Left, Reads it And Dies Laughing

As parents, we need to look out for our children’s best interests. And until they are old enough to decide on their own, it is our duty to step in and do what we think is best to protect them and their future. If left to their own devices, children might not think of the years ahead and how to best set themselves up for success. As parents, we can do that for them because children are a gift.

A smart teenager knew that his father had a soft spot for him. And because his grades were terrible, he worried that he would disappoint his father. His parents had often urged him to study more and do his homework, but the teen chose to play video games and go online instead.

To preempt the parental punishment, he wrote a terrifying letter that he left for his dad. He hoped it would scare them enough so they would forget about his bad grades and focus instead on his safety.

Here’s the creative teenager’s note.

“Dear Dad:

“It is with great regret and sorrow that I am writing you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with mom and you. I’ve been finding real passion with Stacy, and she is so nice, but I knew you would not approve because of her piercings, tattoos, tight motorcycle clothes, and the fact she’s much older than me. But it’s not only the passion dad. She’s pregnant.

“Stacy said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children. Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn’t really hurt anyone. We’ll be growing it for ourselves and trading it with other people in the commune – for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want. In the meantime, we’ll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Stacy can get better. She sure deserves it! Don’t worry Dad. I’m 15. I know how to take care of myself. Someday I am sure we’ll be back to visit so that you can get to know your many grandchildren.

“Love, your son, Joshua

“P.S. Dad, none of the above is true. I’m over at Jason’s house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than the school report card that’s on the kitchen table. Call me when it’s safe for me to come home!”

People on social media entirely loved his courage to share this hilarious note. While we don’t know who Joshua is or if he really was a student with terrible grades, we do know one thing. This joke has got us on the floor.

This teen knew how to play the emotions of his parents like a violin. After they considered the possibility of their boy was running away to marry an AIDS infected deadbeat, the prospect of bad grades certainly isn’t a painful.

What do you think of this letter to dad?
