Dirty grout can change the entire look of our home. What once looked like a pristine bathroom or kitchen can quickly turn into a dingy and dank space. Not only can grout look nasty, but it can be downright unhealthy as grout is an area where mold and mildew are likely to grow.
But using harmful chemicals to clean your grout can be just as unhealthy. So, you might want to use natural products to get your grout clean.
Here are nine natural ways you can you can get your grout clean.

1) Tea Tree Oil

Spray your grout with some water mixed with about ten drops of tea tree oil and press some baking soda into your grout, so a paste is formed. Scrub your grout and rinse.
When you’re done, spray the grout again with the water and tea tree oil. The tea tree oil acts as a mold inhibitor to prevent mold from growing again.

2) Castille Soap

Mix some liquid Castille soap, which is made from plants, with water and baking soda and use it to scrub your grout. It will both disinfect and bleach your grout.

3) Baking Soda

Scrub your grout with 1/2 a cup of baking soda and water to keep your grout looking as good as new.

4) Steam Clean

This method is best for loosening the dirt that’s stuck inside your grout as well as disinfecting the area. It will also destroy mold and prep your grout before you use a whitening solution.

5) Vinegar

This method works well if your grout is dark and nasty. First, wipe it down with white vinegar and a sponge. Next, scrub your grout with baking soda and a toothbrush.
