All parents want their children to be perfect little angels. But with so many bullies out there today, some parents are going to be disappointed. So when a parent learns that their child is the one who is causing all the problems in school, they have a choice. Either they can ignore the problem and let the boy or girl continue their bad behavior.
When Jenn Brown learned that her two sons were torturing the bus driver, and pushing the driver to the end of the rope, she took action. Instead of ignoring the problem – like many parents today might do – she came up with a punishment that would teach them never to mess with another person like that again.
Watch the video below to see what she did.
The call came from the elementary school. That’s how Brown learned that her two boys were rude to the bus driver. But not only that, the boys were misbehaving. They were bad examples to the other students. She needed to teach them a lesson they would never forget.
Although it was winter and cold outside, Brown marched her boys outside the next morning. It was March in Canada.
Then she forced the bad boys to walk four and a half miles to school. She was not going to grant them the privilege of the warm bus ride after she learned how they were harassing the driver.
The sign the boys had to hold read:
“Being bad and rude to our bus driver! Mom making us walk.”
The boys took two hours to make the short trek to school.
Jenn Brown then uploaded photos of the punishment along wit the following caption:
“My boys have been bad for their bus driver, and I got a call from the school yesterday that drew a line for me! So this morning we did a 7 km (4.5 mile) walk to show them what every day will be like for them when they get kicked off the bus. S*** just got real for them. Two hours later they made it!”
Because mom was willing to teach her sons a lesson, we can assume they’re going to shape up and never treat their bus driver badly ever again. If more parents were willing to institute “old school” punishments like this, children would probably better behave across the globe. When parents don’t let their children run all over and cause problems, they step into line.
What do you think about the way this mother handled the situation?
