Pick up some marble contact paper from the dollar store and copy this viral DIY project

Are you always on the look-out for elegant-looking things that don’t cost much money? If yes, marble contact paper is going to be your new best friend! It’s luxurious-looking, fairly inexpensive, and easy to use – the perfect combination.
Despite what most of us think, marble isn’t just for counter tops… it looks great on everything from lamps to clocks to utensil handles!
1. Marble and copper notebook (h/t The Lovely Drawer)
Marble, copper, and geometric paper clips… could there be a better combination? If you love stationary, these notebooks are a must-have. They would be so cute even without the copper binding!
2. Succulent planter
No one would ever guess that this adorable little succulent planter wasn’t made of real marble! You could build a wooden planter from scratch if you want it to fit specific measurements, but you could just as easily use marble contact paper to cover over an old planter that you don’t like anymore.
3. Marble-handled utensils (h/t A Joyful Riot)
These marble-handled utensils look so classy, and I love the pastel colors she chose for the handles! Marble and wood is a great combination, but I’d love to see how the project wold turn out with copper utensils as well.

4. Marbled utensil holder (h/t A Beautiful Mess)
If marble-handled utensils aren’t your style, why not make a marble utensil holder instead? This is super easy to make, and it could also double as a cute vase or table centerpiece!
5. Budget-friendly faux marble countertops (h/t Bachelor’s Way via Remodelaholic)
Marble countertops will always be in style, and I can’t believe that these ones aren’t made of real marble! This is a pretty big project to tackle, but I’d say the results are well worth it. You can always start with a small section of the counter if you’re not sure you’ll love the results!
6. Elegant bed tray
Can you think of anything more luxurious than a marble bed tray? Real marble is too expensive and heavy to make a good bed table, but this faux marble version is simply perfect.
7. Marbled lamp (h/t Homey Oh My)
What a clever way to spruce up an old lamp! Lamps like these cost a pretty penny in high-end decor stores, but you can make a version like this for next to nothing. Best of all, it’s easy to peel the contact paper off if you get tired of your lamp’s new look!
8. Bar cart makeover (h/t Sea and Sisal)
I’d love to have a marble bar cart – it looks so glamorous! It would be the perfect thing to pull out when your friends come over, and it’s a super easy project to do even if you’re short on time. It’s adulting at its finest!
9. Faux marble clock (h/t Twine and Table)
Telling the time would be a joy if you had this simple faux marble clock to look at! An expensive, heavy marble clock doesn’t seem like the best thing to hang on your wall, especially if you have kids, but this lightweight faux marble version provides all of the same style.
10. Luxurious-looking faux marble table (h/t Syl and Sam)
Real marble furniture is ridiculously expensive, but this gorgeous faux marble table is much more affordable. It’s also wonderfully photogenic – it’s an amazing way to perfect your Instagram feed!
