Every home needs a few mirrors, but you can do so much better than a plain, boring wall mirror from IKEA! That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t buy cheap mirrors – instead, pick up a few inexpensive mirrors and use your DIY skills to give them an awesome makeover.
There’s no limit on what you can do with a mirror and some creativity, but a little inspiration is always a good thing. Take a peek at the awesome ideas we’ve collected for you!
1. Color-block galaxy mirrors (h/t A Kailo Chic Life)
These color-block galaxy mirrors are totally out of this world! I have to be honest – blues and purples are my favorite colors, but these mirrors would probably be just as pretty with almost any other color combo.
2. Simple rope mirror (h/t My Pear Tree Home)
This simple rope mirror totally makes me think of the beach! The natural rope would fit in pretty well with most styles of decor, but I’d love to see a version made with cream-colored or brown rope as well.
3. Colorful splatter paint wall art (h/t A Beautiful Mess)
If fun and colorful is more your style, this splatter pain wall art is perfect! It would be such a fun project to make, and the color possibilities are endless. How do you think an ombre version would look?
4. Mirrored console table (h/t Anika’s DIY Life)
This sleek mirrored console table might not be the best way to check your reflection, but it’s oh-so-stylish! If you already have a console table that you love, why not just steal this idea and add some mirrored panels to the front?
5. Windowpane mirror (h/t It’s A Grandville Life)
I don’t think that windowpane mirrors will ever go out of style, but who knew that they were so easy to make yourself? I love this look, but what I love even more is the fact that you can customize the size of the mirror to perfectly fit wherever you want to put it.
6. Broken mirror wall art (h/t Potholes And Pantyhose)
They say that breaking a mirror gives you seven years of bad luck, but is that still true if you take the pieces and make them into a gorgeous piece of wall art? Considering this was made from pieces of broken glass, I can’t believe how expensive it looks!
