Turn your plain and ordinary baskets into something extraordinary. It’s easier than you think.
I started with plain hyacinth baskets, but wanted to add a touch of color to them.
Difficulty: Easy

I started with plain hyacinth baskets, but wanted to add a touch of color to them.  had no clue if this was going to work or not.  I wrapped the Frogtape around the basket.  Make sure you follow actual height dimensions and not the weave of the basket because sometimes that weave isn’t very straight.  I ran my fingers along the edge of the tape to help it stick as well as it could to the wicker.  I used my 1 inch wide acrylic craft paintbrush and started with the white (Sheepskin).  This paint was awesome!  I wasn’t sure if it would bleed into the wicker or how well it was going to cover when I started.

As soon as I finished going around the basket, I removed the tape immediately before the paint dried so it wouldn’t pull the paint with the tape.  I’m happy to report there was no bleeding and one coat is all it took!   You can see above that I carried the paint a little to the bottom and I did my best to cover the wicker, but there are places I just could do with a brush; but you know what?  It looks fabulous, regardless!
